Join Our Synagogue

Mekor Habracha/Center City Synagogue is a warm congregation with inspiring services located in Center City Philadelphia.

Mekor Habracha provides accessible, participatory and traditional prayer services and a sense of community for the Center City Jewish community.

In addition to attending High Holiday services free of charge, members will be listed in and have access to the shul directory. They will also receive discounts throughout the year on shul related offerings such as community meals and programs, kiddush and other sponsorships, and synagogue space for special occasions.

Cost for membership: Students: $150/year, Singles: $275/year, Couples/families: $500/year.

If you are unable to pay the full membership fee for any reason, we are happy to make accommodations that will fit your budget. Schedule of Services

Friday Evening

About 5 minutes after candle lighting in the winter and 7:00 PM in the summer.

Shabbat Morning

9:15 AM followed by a delicious, hot Kiddush (at approximately 11:45 PM).

Shabbat Afternoon

In the winter months, Shabbat Mincha (afternoon) services take place after the kiddush at about 12:25 PM. In the summer, Mincha, Third Meal and Ma'ariv take place approximately one hour and fifteen minutes before Shabbat ends. 

Weekday Morning Services

Regular morning service schedule: Sunday: 9 AM, Monday, Thursday and Rosh Chodesh: 6:45 AM, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday: 7 AM.          M-F Weekday services end at approximately 7:30 AM.
